I've Never Been More Serious In My Life...

So this hamster & I have had similar experiences, it seems...

After trying on numerous pairs of trousers and jeans and realising my shameful attempts of getting fit and toned have quite obviously failed...

I'm on a badass diet.

I've said it time and time again... This time it is war.
So far I have 3 foods I can't go a hungry day without...

1) Ainsley Harriott Cup Soups - Flavoursome hugs in mugs that are so scolding hot it takes about half an hour to eat.. By which time I'm bored. Perfect 70 calorie lunchtime remedies.

2) Boots Shapers Strawberry Nougat Bars - Now available in multipacks of 5 saving money and calories! They are so tasty I ate them before the diet even begun way back in the day! Mmmm..

3) Hartleys Fat Free Jelly Pots - 10 Calorie desserts?? Need I say more??

I've sealed the deal by asking for running shoes and exercise machines for my birthday. I go to the Dominican Republic in September and there ain't no ticket for my muffin top!

Let the battle commence!

Lush Heart Of Gold - A (Very Relaxed) Review PT.1

Valentine's Day was well over a month ago, but I still haven't had a chance to review my wonderful selection of Lush bath delights my other half got for me!

For those who haven't had the joy of having Lush in their lives yet, I'll explain: In a nutshell Lush are a handmade cosmetics brand based in Poole in Dorset. Not only are they handmade and a UK delicacy, Lush products are made from "fresh organic fruit and veg, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics." Furthermore they only buy ingredients from companies who don't test on animals, use only vegetarian ingredients and "believe in happy people making happy soap" to make their mums proud.

Basically Lush products not only smell I N C R E D I B L E but can be enjoyed guilt-free, too.

In Part One of this Lush review I have tried out the insanely appeasing 'Comforter Bubble Bar'.

Opening the huge red love heart the goodies are buried in, the whole room is filled with fruity freshness; a heady mix of lavender, lemon and jasmine.

The Comforter Bubble Bar is rather large so I broke it in half to conserve the rest for another day. Forcing the taps into motion I threw the bar under the running hot water...
Ridiculous amounts of excitement consumed me when the bathtub filled with pink water and frothy bubbles! The bathroom was suddenly engulfed in a variety of girly scents - even the dog had to come and investigate at one point (probably because I was clapping like a seal and exaggerating my sniffs)!

Without a doubt, this was one hell of a bath. It's a weird thing to share with the world, when you have a good bath, but I did. It was 45 minutes of girly madness; my iPad served the next episode of Gossip Girl from where I left off, I was make-up free and the heating was on full blast...

And my bath was PINK.

Enough said.

Is it wrong to wish for another stressful week just so I can take an excuse for another Lush soaking??

How Would You Wear It?

Hi guys! I asked around to see if the 'Street-Chic' trend is working its way into the lives of every day girls or if I'm just trapped in an online fashion spin. Turns out most of the ladies I asked love the look, which you are most likely to find on celeb-BFFs Rita Ora and Cara Delevigne, but said they either didn't know how to put it all together or the look it just too over-styled for grocery shopping and the school run. Fair enough.

However one little lady styled the joggers I used as an example piece to absolute perfection. Simple, affordable and down-right comfrotable there is no excuse for us not to rock this trend!
Libby Burgess, 16, from Hatfield is a Junior at Bradley James Hairdressing Salon but her dream career is to be a Fashion Designer. Styling the Parisian 'Genius' Joggers from New Look's new collection she said:

"I chose this bomber jacket, plain t-shirt and blazers to pair with the stylish jogging bottoms as I feel that the look is on trend and would be something you could see Rita Ora wearing. I think that the bomber jacket classes up the jogging bottoms and creates a different tone over the whole outfit."

Libby added: "If I were to wear this outfit, I think that I'd feel bang on trend and accepted in the style I was wearing. This outfit could be worn from going out to lunch with some girlfriends or shopping, or even to an event. By simply changing the shoes to something classier you can change the whole outfit, allowing it to be adapted and worn anywhere."

I love the colour pop trainers on this look, and the Font Crop ASOS Top is also amazing for the Monochrome trend at the moment!

Ashley's March Music Picks!

Hi everybody and welcome to 'Your Desirables'' first ever guest post! 21-year-old beaut Ashley Chisholm is a Contact Centre Advisor who loves a damn-good boogie! Her dream career is to be a Freelance Makeup Artist and today she's giving the low-down on her Top 5 tunes from her current playlist! Take it away Ashley...

Disclosure – White Noise (feat Aluna George)

I didn’t think I could love newcomers Disclosure any more than I did after Latch (feat Sam Smith) and then they came up with this little beauty. Great beat and I absolutely love the tone of Aluna George’s vocals. Such a cool collaboration and I can’t wait to hear what they come up with next!

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis – Thrift Shop.
With its cheeky lyrics and infectious tune (that’s not even mentioning the sax in the back ground – loving the sax) Thrift Shop is definitely one of the songs I have on repeat at the moment.

Taylor Swift – I Knew You Were Trouble.

I should be incredibly bored of this song by now, but unfortunately I am not. I absolutely love Taylor Swift – and these lyrics could not be more fitting. A little edgier to her usual teen bopper stuff experimenting with a dubstep vibe, but I think she’s just about pulled it off!

One Direction – One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks).
At my age I should NOT be admitting my love for the boys of 1D. However their music has a tendency to make me feel quite happy about life. I love this little mash up and with the profits of this single going to charity for Comic Relief– what’s not to love?

Bruno Mars – When I Was Your Man.

We all have that song we play when we need to sit and feel a little sorry for ourselves. This is currently that song for me. Hugely depressing and beautiful and just everything you need when you are drowning in a bottle of Gallo by yourself on a Friday Night.
