Barry M's Miracle Wink Liner!

It's not often that I come across a product that I'm absolutely fanatical about but Barry M has done the dam thing this time!!

The Barry M Wink Marker Pen is my best beauty buy since I discovered Lauren's Way fake tan last April, and here is why:

Designed to look and work like your everyday Sharpie, this eyeliner practically swipes up to 20 minutes off my daily beauty routine. As a massive fan of smoky, statement eyes (as seen all over the Chanel shows this season) the Wink Marker Pen practically eliminates the effort needed when applying liquid eyeliner.

Previously, my search for a decent liquid eyeliner took me far and wide and, surprisingly, ended up with me settling on the Claire's Accessories Liquid Eyeliner. The brush is very thin which although makes application accurate, it still didn't stop the inevitable lid-run and end-of-day panda eyes.

The Wink Marker Pen is not only quick and easy to use, clean AND accurate, it stays on all day: Yesterday was windy and rainy outside then hot and muggy inside, for example, I was also tired so probably rubbed my eyes subconsciously throughout work, too, BUT it was still in place smudge and crack-free when I got home from work at 1.30am!

This is all well and good but what tips it over to become the Miracle Marker is the price - it costs less than a fiver and lasts for ages! How can all of this be?!

If there was ever an excuse to go out and purchase something pretty then I'm sure 'spending an extra 20 minutes in bed and still looking fabu every morning' is perfect!

The Barry M Wink Marker Pen is only £4.59 on the official Barry M site - CLICK HERE TO BUY!

Back To Barbie!

Call me crazy but I've gone backwards! Don't get me wrong it's fun to be all quirky and trendy but I've been chanelling my inner Barbie with my latest beauty choices with a full head of blonde highlights and baby pink nails!

Having spent 4 hours in the beauty salon on Tuesday I came out revived and ready for yet another style change. Keeping up with the street-chic grunge looks can be quite depressing and, truth be told, I was hoping the baggy beanies and slouchy sneakers would be left in the Winter months along with the snow and fluffy socks.

Anyhow, I chose OPI's Pink Friday for my main colour then OPI's Pussy Galore for that cheeky nail that everyone decides to mix up:

So, who was in my Nail Look Book this month? A very eclectic mix, I can tell you! From Katie Price to Blake Lively I'm loving everyone and anyone blonde and pink at the moment:

It's not just me gettin' my Barb on, either, as it seems the colour pink is making the fashion rounds at the moment - even HRH The Queen rocked up to the Races in a pastel pink ensemble:

Barbie never looked so good!

Holiday Bloggin'! - Motivation Monday

Good evening! This week I am bloggin' all the way from Christchurch, Dorset, where I am currently sleeping off a terrible case of 'burnout' that occured in the last two weeks!

Other than spending my days doing some of my FAVE Dorset-y things to do - like visiting the New Forest and boat-watching in Poole - I am also using this time as some sort of detox vacay.

Staying with the grandparents is always a little bit like rehab - it's quiet, technology is at it's very basic and having a signal is a no-go, let alone the lack of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll - but this time I'm taking it ridiculously seriously. For those of you that know me, going out sans make-up is near enough IMPOSSIBLE for me, however, today I went shopping and pottering with Grandad totes bare-faced! PROUD! Not only am I letting my skin breathe this week, I'm also investing in the Vitamin D spray you can get from Holland & Barratt - if the sun ain't guna shine on me then I'll spray it's goodness straight into my gob instead! £7 for 100 sprays and you only need one spray a day! Bargain skincare and healthiness in a tiny bottle.

What else have I discovered here?! Oh...squats feel harder to do when you're supposed to be holiday! Dragging myself from the unbelievably comfy recliner every evening takes dedication - I hope Ibiza appreciates the effort in which I am making. Anyway, I re-tweeted this on Twitter and love it so much - KEEP GOING:

I always have such random playlist fancies when I'm away - I've been obsessed with the mainstream ones like Blurred Lines (Robin Thicke, Pharrell & T.I), Antenna (Fuse ODG) & Beautiful (Mariah & Miguel) BUT thanks to over-listening to the new Kisstory radio station I've been re-visiting some old tunes that are total CLASSICS: Skinny (Lo Rider), No More [Baby I'ma Do Right] (3LW), Dumb (The 411), Is It You & Me And You (Cassie), Freak Like Me (Sugababes) and Break It Off (Rihanna & Sean Paul):

You can't deny they are some TUNES! On the agenda this week of chilled detox is a trip to Poole to check out the sexy Sunseekers (even though the firm is set to be bought out by China!) and a spot of Lunch, tomorrow I'll be spending a morning at the salon and Wednesday is shopping day - I'll keep you posted!

Don't forget...KEEP GOING!

Ibiza 2013 - Beauty, Health & Fitness Countdown!

It's official! Ibiza 2013 is booked and the to-do list is in full swing...

It's time I got started with STAGE 1:
Early Preparation

1) The Bun & Thigh Wave Machine is set up in my living room with the accompanying DVD ready to be learnt off-by-heart!
I figured any product with THIS lady on the front which also promises results in just two weeks is definitely worth a try before forking out £50+ a month on the gym! At only £80 from Argos this is a long-term STEAL!

2) Getting into shape and getting the perf Ibiza body will take more than a few minutes on the Bun and Thigh Wave! I know this! So I'm also participating in the almost impossible 30-Day Squat Challenge AND investing in the ECI Cellulite Treatment! It's not cheating if Kim K gets away with it!! All this as well as the sit-up challenge, skipping rope and mad power walks with the pooch should see me tone up in no time!

3) Eating right is the most important part of the Ibiza countdown challenge! I'm aiming to eat between 1200 and 1500 calories per day - obviously a little more if I'm working out hard. That would be cutting up to 600 calories a day - as well as cutting fatty, unwanted meals like McDonalds and Burger King! It's salad and soup from this moment onwards!

4) So I'm getting my diet, cellulite and flab sorted. What about health and beauty?! Well, let's start with my skin:
I hereby solemnly swear that I will cleanse, tone and moisturise every night after removing every scarp of make-up from my face!
Amen...

Do any of you fellow bloggers know any pimple remedies??!! I'd really love to start trying out some new lotions and potions to try and clear this blotchy skin of mine!?

5) And finally...
Ibiza fashion!

WATCH THIS SPACE...I'm pretty sure that the second the 'Project Ibiza' Collection lands at Missguided I will be posting a MASSIVE shopping haul and showing off my new summer wardrobe staples!

Where are you going this summer?!
What are your STAGE 1 plans?!

Check out this very blog in July to check out STAGE 2:
The Progress Report!

Calvin Klein Lipstick - #24 'Peony'

My quest to wear bolder lip shades begins with Calvin Klein #24! A wonderfully cheap eBay bargain at £1.49 (!) I thought this would be a great place to start...

Takes a couple of swipes of the lips to get a decent coverage but once it's on the colour is a perfect balance between not too bright and not too light.
I was hoping that opting for Calvin Klein would mean that it would last longer than those I could get for the same low price in the shops - probably Natural Collection or Collection 2000.
Unfortunately, I still got that annoying blotchy matte effect that everyone hates after about 30-40 minutes of wear! Not ideal!
But it does the job and has given me newfound confidence to go find some more colours and try some new lipsticks which is always fun and totally necessary!
;-)

Let's see who else is rockin' the kinky pink lip right now and get a quick fix of inspo...

Jessica Biel at the Dior Cruise Fashion Show on 1st June - [Daily Mail]
Jessica Alba at the 2013 Producers Guild Awards - [Hello!]
Tulisa at the NTAs this year - [Daily Mail]
Leigh-Ann Pinnock at last year's Jingle Bell Ball - [Capital FM]

What are the hottest colours right now? And who's the best brand for sustainable lippy??
Let an amateur know - it's payday Friday!

FOTD - Chanel Eyes!

Just when I thought my make-up bag would be doomed to be a budget-bag for all eternity, I get the gift of Chanel for my birthday! Uber happiness!

I tried the natural eyeshadow palette and mascara today and got so excited that I took pictures before I finished getting ready! So, before you see the pics there are mucho things I need to apologise for:

1) Wet hair, don't care!
2) White line 'round the lip, get a grip!
3) No blush, in a rush!

 Ok, GO! (Don't Judge Me!)

Let me begin with the Chanel mascara (Le Volume de Chanel 10) - it is AWESOME! I got this voluminous look from just one coat! The brush on the other hand is absolutely huge which I find too awkward to use. My usual Natural Collection wand is very thin and very precise, which is what I'm used to. Thank goodness I only need one coat of the Chanel miracle mascara, though!

The eyeshadow in the palette (Les 4 Ombres 39 Raffinement) has the texture of both cream and powder shadows making it very easy to apply and of course it blends wonderfully. The little applicator brushes that come in the packages are nothing short of useless - happily I had some of my own that I could hold nicely (even with my acrylic nails on!).

What I was hoping to achieve today was a nice natural blend on the eyelid with a heavy eyeliner presence (Natural Collection pencil eyeliner) to make a sassy daytime cat eye.
This was my mini look-book of inspo:

Now that my eyes are done I better go and do something with my hair! Work will shortly be calling my name - as will my drunken customers later on! Have a sexy Saturday everyone!

-x-
